“Show Us Your Media”

It’s time for our First Annual OPST Show Us Your Media Contest!
Send us photos or videos of fish that you've caught with our line systems, you casting our lines, or flies that you've tied for a chance to win one of four prizes with the grand prize being an OPST Pure Skagit rod. All submissions will be considered for prizes and to be featured on social media.

As a company, Our main goal is to bring a product to customers that makes their time in the water more enjoyable.  In the process of meeting that goal, we often receive awesome testimonials from customers who are very much enjoying their Pure Skagit experience; either on the one-handed or two-handed rod scene, or through our tying videos and products.  We want to take that one step further and see what you’re up to and share it with our other customers!      

“Here’s How It Works:”

Send photo or video submissions of how you’re using our products, what you’re catching, or what flies you’re using into info@opskagit.com with the subject “media contest”.  Please include as much information as possible, like rod and Commando Line System used, type of fish, area caught if possible (please don’t blow up secret spots!), presentation style, fly type, etc.  Video’s should be no longer than 60 seconds for social media purposes.  Video’s longer than will still be considered for FB posts (and a Viewer Choice Award if we choose to go that route).  Media must be the submitter’s original work (See the rule’s below for more clarification).  For Fly Submissions:   Please include a few different angles of your fly if possible, and don’t forget a step-by-step instructional (as simple as possible) if you’d like your submission to be tied by others!  We would also like to know what Commando System you plan on fishing the fly, where and for what.  Extra bonus points for flies using OPST Brand tying products (drabs, saddles, shanks, hooks, shank chuck, dubbing spinner, etc.).

Official Rules

  • All submissions must be submitted by midnight, March xx, 2020.  No late submissions will be considered.
  • All entries must be related to an OPST product.
  • Submissions with sponsor logo’s or branding must be approved through OPST and may be disallowed, case-by-case.
  • No promotional or ad-based content will be considered.
  • The media submitted must be the submitters original work, or used with the proper permission and credits.
  • You must have obtained all the necessary rights (including music, image & film rights), consents, authorizations and licenses covering the media submitted. 
  • If you have copyrighted material in your media, including music, you must provide documentation of permission for its use.  Submissions not meeting these criteria will be disqualified.
  • The submissions must not contain hate speech, excessive violence, slander or libel, profanity or any other actionable offences. 
  • OPST reserves the right to disqualify any entry at our discretion to cover any gray areas.
  • There’s no limit to how many times you may submit, however each person can only win one 1st-4th place prize; in the unlikely event that one submitter is chosen for multiple place prizes, they will have a choice of one.
  • There is no cash prize alternative for any of the prices.
  • All submissions containing fish photos or video must adhere to the Keepemwet principles, available for review here: http://www.keepemwet.org/#home.  This will be strictly enforced and as before gray area discretion goes to OPST.
  • Submitters are granting permission to use the media submissions to OPST on our social media platforms for purposes we see fit.
  • In the event a prize being out-of-stock when time comes to claim it, a substitution of equal value will be made, or the winner can wait for a future restock date.
