Ostrich Drabs: The Best Feathers for Tying Intruders – OPST

Jerry French takes a few minutes to talk about his favorite feather for tying his Intruder, Dirty Hoh, Camo Squid and other fly patterns. With drabs, pretty much the entire feather is usable for different parts of flies. Drabs are stout at the base, with fine tips, meaning they hold up well in the shoulder of a fly, but have great motion as well. In 12 different barred colors and 5 dotted, with two feathers per pack, OPST ostrich drabs are the best value and quality in ostrich fly tying plumes.
