Wicket’s Umami Shrimp is a steelhead fly born from our west coast steelhead's tendency to eat shrimp. It’s tied with a hair wing and spey-style hackle for maximum bugginess in the water.  Using ideas from the classic Temple Dog and Alley Shrimp style flies, this is a fly that has proven itself time and again against summer and fall fish all up and down the west coast.  This fly has medium amounts of flash and is currently offered in 4 color schemes to match any water conditions you’ll encounter in the summer and fall months.  Umami refers to a deep flavor, and we feel like these flies live up to the name!
